There’s a quiet worry that sits with a lot of parents raising a child between two languages. That one will slip away. That the words you grew up with won’t come as easily to your little one as English does.
This bundle is a small way to keep Tagalog in the everyday. Two printable sets, twenty-three simple words, paired with soft watercolour illustrations and made for little hands.
What’s inside Two printable PDFs, delivered together as a digital download.
Mga Hayop — twelve animal cards across three A4 pages Aso (Dog), Pusa (Cat), Manok (Chicken), Itik (Duck), Baka (Cow), Kabayo (Horse), Baboy (Pig), Kambing (Goat), Daga (Mouse), Paruparo (Butterfly), Langgam (Ant), Bubuyog (Bee).
Katawan — eleven body part cards across three A4 pages Ulo (Head), Mata (Eyes), Ilong (Nose), Bibig (Mouth), Buhok (Hair), Ngipin (Teeth), Tainga (Ears), Tiyan (Belly), Kamay (Hands), Daliri (Fingers), Paa (Feet).
Each card has a watercolour illustration, the Tagalog word in a warm serif, and the English word in quiet capitals underneath. Dashed cut lines guide the trimming.
How I’d use them There’s no right way. Leave them on a small tray your child can reach. Tuck them into a basket by the bookshelf. Pull one out at a time during quiet play and say the word slowly in both languages. The learning happens in repetition, not performance.
Start with the animals your child already knows. Move to the body parts when they start pointing to their own eyes or belly. Let them choose.
Printing notes Print on sturdy card stock, 200 to 300 gsm matte works well. Cut along the dashed lines. Laminate if you want them to survive teething and snack hands. A4 size, two PDFs, six card pages plus two covers.
Delivery Digital download. Both PDFs arrive together straight after checkout. Print as many times as you like, for your own family use.
