Unang Mga Salita: Tagalog-English First Words Printable Cards
$0.00
Twelve first-word cards in Tagalog and English, made to slow down the learning. Soft watercolour illustrations, warm amber tones, and simple everyday words your little one can say before they can read. Printable PDF, ready to trim and keep in a small basket your child can reach on their own.
There’s a quiet worry that sits with a lot of parents raising a child between two languages. That one will slip away. That the words you grew up with won’t come as easily to your little one as English does.
These cards are a small way to keep Tagalog in the everyday. Twelve simple words, paired with soft watercolour illustrations, printable at home and made for little hands.
What’s inside A printable PDF with a cover page and three card pages, four cards per A4 sheet. Each card has a watercolour illustration, the Filipino word in a warm serif, and the English word in quiet capitals underneath. Dashed cut lines guide the trimming.
The twelve words Araw (Sun), Buwan (Moon), Bituin (Star), Ulap (Cloud), Puno (Tree), Bulaklak (Flower), Dahon (Leaf), Mansanas (Apple), Ibon (Bird), Isda (Fish), Bahay (House), Puso (Heart).
How I’d use them There’s no right way. Leave them on a small tray your child can reach. Tuck them into a basket by the bookshelf. Pull one out at a time during quiet play and say the word slowly in both languages. The learning happens in repetition, not performance.
Printing notes Print on sturdy card stock, 200 to 300 gsm matte works well. Cut along the dashed lines. Laminate if you want them to survive teething and snack hands. A4 size, 4 pages total.
Delivery Digital download. You’ll get the PDF straight after checkout. Print it as many times as you like, for your own family use.
